Wine Harvest

White, red or rose, sweet, dry or something in between – there is a thing for everyone when it comes to wines.

With almost 3,000 different types of wine grown in vineyards throughout the country, France is one of the leading nations for fine wines. Here harvest time is known as ‘la vendange’. Because wine grapes ripen at different rates depending on the species, la vendange spans about two months – typically from August to October.

Domaine de Brau

As we enter the harvest season, we would like to tell you more about the wines we offer at La Belle Eco. Organic-based and local source was always a priority for us – that’s why we chose to cooperate with Domaine de Brau vineyard.

Founded by Fabien Revol and Guillaume Mauffrey, Domaine de Brau is a pioneer in organic winemaking. It crafts quality wines that are easy to drink.

The vineyard is located in Occitania, in the south of France, where vines have been cultivated for over 150 years. Their style is organic and modern. They use sustainable methods of winemaking and farming without compromising on great taste. All wines are smooth, fresh, and fruity.

Pairings

The best way to taste a wine is in the company of a well-paired meal. Here are some recommendations from our Chef:

Chardonnay

This dry-bodied, fruity, fresh and crisp wine goes best with cheese, chicken and seafood. To this wine at La Belle Eco, we would serve you Trout, pink peppercorn & fennel cure.

Cuvée Étymologie

Red, tannic, and dry wine like this goes well with our homemade pizzas. Dough fermented for two days, homemade sugo, local mozzarella & herbs from the garden will create a perfect pairing!

This Rose wine is very versatile when it comes to meals. You can pair it with light salads, grilled chicken, seafood, and dishes with a hint of spice. It’s also great with Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. At La Belle, we would serve you our delectable chilli mussels.
