A Living Home
La Belle Eco is a peaceful country estate shaped by permaculture, art, and hospitality, near Carcassonne.
At its heart stands an Art Deco manor and working homestead, surrounded by woodland and shaped by the rhythm of the land.
In the summer months, we welcome a small number of guests and artists in residence to stay with us; during the rest of the year, we occasionally open the house for retreats, weddings, and community gatherings.
What brings us to open La Belle Eco is simple: we believe that homes, like gardens, grow stronger when they become places of exchange, hospitality, and connection.

Each summer we welcome a small number of guests to stay in our house and share in the rhythm of life here.
Days unfold between gardens, shared spaces, and quiet corners, with the feeling of being part of a lived-in home rather than a hotel - free to enjoy both company and your own space as you want.
Stays are limited and seasonal, in keeping with the natural pace of the land and our time here.
Nestled within ancient woodland managed as a nature reserve, La Belle Eco offers a rare sense of calm, far removed from the pace of everyday life.
Our ten acres of woodland garden, including a food forest, invite guests to wander, slow down, and explore a landscape shaped by care and long-term stewardship.
The no-dig gardens allow guests to discover regenerative agriculture first-hand, and to sample some of the delicious produce they create.
Surprisingly, you are just moments from Carcassonne, making it the perfect escape for anyone seeking to disconnect and recharge amongst stunning natural surroundings, after a busy day exploring the world famous site.

The natural swimming pool is the heart of life here.
Dragonflies skim the surface by day, frogs call in the evening, and the surrounding woodland makes it feel entirely part of the natural landscape, far removed from the outside world.
For those new to natural swimming, the chemical-free water is gentle on the skin and deeply refreshing — an experience many guests find surprisingly transformative.
A wood-fired hot tub, eco sauna, and small massage room complete the experience — simple, restorative, and quietly indulgent.

Artists Residencies
A community-driven project that transforms waste into value through plastic recycling and free sewing classes for local youth. At our recycling hub, we collect plastic and repurpose it into functional, beautifully crafted items, fostering a hands-on understanding of sustainable practices.
In exchange for bringing in plastic, young participants can join sewing classes, where they learn practical skills in creating and upcycling. Loopy Living is all about creating a circular economy that empowers the next generation to care for the planet through creativity and action.
